Local businesses, school, civics, and church groups are encouraged to enter your best patriotic entry for the AutoSmart Float Contest! With chances to win cash prizes, it’s a fun and entertaining way to show off some spirit and partake in the festivities.

This year’s parade will be taking place on Friday, July 4th, at 10:00 am.

Float Contest Rules & Regulations
The following rules govern entries participating in the 2025 AutoSmart Fourth of July Celebration Parade Float Contest. Entry into the contest constitutes the entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these rules, terms, and conditions.

 

The theme for the 2025 Fourth of July Celebration is “Stars, Stripes, and Summer Nights

  1. The contest is open to organizations, groups, churches, businesses, and schools.
  2. All float entries should be built on a pick-up truck bed, flatbed truck, or trailer.
  3. All floats must be able to travel the entire parade route and may not, in any case, cause slowing or other delay in the parade movement. Participants are responsible for transporting the float to and from the parade in accordance with proper highway and safety codes.
  4. Floats must be electric or fuel-driven and must have brakes and steering.
  5. All floats must have hand-holds for anyone standing on the float and/or secure/safe seating for all others riding on the float. Participants areĀ NOT permitted to jump on and/or off the float during the parade.
  6. Float Contest entries will be judged based on the following criteria:
    – Use of Celebration Theme
    – Creativity
    – Quality
    – Overall Appearance
  7. Decorations should be suitable for public viewing, eye-catching, and creative.
  8. Nothing is to be thrown from the float.
  9. There will be three winners in the Float Contest. The Grand Prize winner will receive a $500 prize and a trophy. The 2nd Place winner will receive a $300 prize. The 3rd Place willer will receive a $200 prize. Prizes will be in the form of a check from the Campbellsville-Taylor County Chamber of Commerce payable to the organization, group, club, church, business, or school.
  10. Contest winners will be selected by the Contest Committee made up of members of the Campbellsville-Taylor County Fourth of July Committee.
  11. Floats will be judged on Friday, July 4th, 2025, at the Parade Staging Area at 9:00 am. The Parade Staging Area is along Collins Street near Campbellsville Elementary School at the corner of Roberts Road and Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. Entries are encouraged to arrive by 8:45 am.
  12. No pre-registration is required.
  13. Parade awards will be presented on site before the parade.
