A warm summer day, colorful floats bursting with reds, whites and blues, familiar faces, the roar of fire engines and the laughter and chatter that fill the air are all reasons you won't want to miss the annual Taylor County Bank Fourth of July Parade.
Look for Hot Air Balloons to again fly over the Fourth of July Celebration! Giant Hot-Air Balloons will lift off from the Miller Park Walking Track at 7 a.m. July 4th and fly over Campbellsville. The balloons can be seen again as they lift off from the Miller Park Walking Track between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. July 4th.

  Q104 Karaoke Idol Contest Q104 presents the 2009 Karaoke Idol Contest at this year’s Fourth of July Celebration. Two age divisions will compete for awards and the title at 6:00 p.m. Saturday July 4th at the Miller Park Gazebo before the annual Citizen’s Bank & Trust Fireworks Show.Entry forms are now available at the station website www.myq104.com or at the station at 50 Friendship Pike in Campbellsville. Entry deadline is June 19th. Q104 will announce the final contestants on Friday June 26th.

The United States Army Field Band Jazz Ambassadors has accepted
our invitation to perform at the 2009 Fourth of July Celebration. The Jazz
Ambassadors will perform a FREE Concert Saturday July 4th at 1 p.m. on the Main
Stage in downtown Campbellsville.

The Jazz Ambassadors is the United States Army's premier touring jazz orchestra.
This 9-member big band, formed in 1969, has received great acclaim both at home and
abroad performing America's original art form, jazz

 Fourth of July Committee announces 2009 Theme

The theme for the 2009 celebration is “Honoring Those Who Fight for our Freedom.” The theme is a natural tie-in with the appearance of the U.S. Army Field Band Jazz Ambassadors.

 
“Honoring Those Who Fight for our Freedom” will also be the theme for the annual Taylor County Bank Parade. Everyone is invited to participate in the parade on July 4th. All area civic, school, and church groups, businesses and individuals are encouraged to develop and enter a float in the AutoSmart Float Contest using this year’s theme. First Place prize money is $500, second place $150 and $100 for third.
